About UsTurning Point is inspired and driven by the potential that is inherent in all children and teens; the potential not only to survive but to thrive, to become leaders who bring positive change for those around them. Our distinctive approach focuses on working with teens throughout their journey to young adulthood, as well as with their families, local organizations and communities to create the environments teens need to thrive. We are providing a full range of community-based services for teen moms. Our goals are to promote empowerment, independence, self-reliance and integration into the community. A key part of our charter is to be consumer controlled as well as consumer focused. A board of directors, made up of community leaders, governs us. A majority of our board of directors and staff are people from former domestic violence and teen moms, who have made a difference and want to give back to our communities. Turning Point provides services at no charge for all teen moms and their families, and strives to help them identify and implement resources appropriate to their situation. |
