Free Healthy Baby Fair

 

A free Healthy Baby Fair will be held Saturday. The fair includes a free breakfast and lunch, gifts, door prizes, and helpful resources.

 

Young mothers who are pregnant or have a baby less than 1 year old are encouraged to attend. Families and child care providers are also invited. 2 clock hours are available for child care providers (KS and MO approved). There is a $5.00 fee for child care providers who want clock hour certificates.

 

Workshops will be offered on healthy mom and happy baby topics. To be eligible for prizes, workshop attendance plus visits to resource tables is required.

 

There is no cost for the event but pre-registration is required, space is limited.

The fair runs from 10 am – 2 pm, sign-in begins at 9 am. The event will be hosted at the Don Chisholm Learning Center (map), 22nd and Holmes, Kansas City, MO.

 

The Healthy Baby Fair is presented by SIDS Resources, the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, and Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. Sponsors include: Mother & Child Health Coalition, Truman Medical Center and Destination Maternity.

Family and Youth Festival

Southeast Neighborhoods Caring Communities and Missouri Job Corps present a Family and Youth Festival on Sat., May 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Swope Park shelter house #4 in Kansas City, MO.

 

This is a FREE event for child and families and will feature live entertainment, food, vendors and activities for all ages.
