More Than a House...Were a Home
On the outside, it looks like an ordinary house.
On the inside, it's an extraordinary home!
Our modest home is filled with love, warmth and acceptance to all the young ladies that call Turning Point, home. Turning Point’s residents may be enrolled in our home on a first come first served bases. Turning Point will also offer a waiting list for young moms in need of shelter. Turning Point will make all efforts and contact all resources to assist young teenage moms in finding a place to live if our home is full! No teenage mom is turned away with out assisting them with other outreach resources.
The home has 4 bedrooms with 2 twin beds and 2 cribs, kitchen, a dining area and television room for our residents and their babies. Turning point has a private garden for meditating or relaxation. We have our own laundry facilities and folding/ironing area.
Girls also have access to our computer-learning center to develop computer skills, complete homework assignments and research community services.
By weekly our residents are taken to a nearby Cosmetology Beauty School for hair grooming etc and the work is performed by Cosmetology Students at a small fraction of normal cost.
Our residents can walk to nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and department stores with nearby bus transportation.
